From top to tail, the Polo GTI is fitted out with all the hallmark trimmings of a GTI. There's the black honeycomb radiator grille with red trim. The large rear spoiler with integrated third brake light. The chrome plated visible dual tail pipes; and the lower side sill extensions with black finish. And to top it all off. Slick 17" alloy wheels with visible red brake callipers. Only the 5 door model will be available in New Zealand. |
Sports styling throughout
Beyond the performance and sleek exterior, we've engineered the Polo GTI to give you that hot hatch feeling - inside and out. So that when you hop behind the multi-function leather steering wheel (equipped with DSG gearshift paddles), you can program your tunes through the RCD510 audio system (featuring an MP3 compatible CD player and 6 speakers). All within easy driving reach of the GTI front sports seats with "Jacky" cloth upholstery and aluminium pedals.

Thrilling performance
The Polo GTI might seem compact in size, but it still easily dominates the road. Its 1.4 litre direct injection twincharged petrol engine charges with 132kW of power and 250Nm of torque, accelerating from 0-100km in 6.9 seconds. Driving pleasure is heightened with its 7-speed direct shift gearbox (DSG) transmission, lowered sports suspension and Extended Electronic Differential Lock (XDL), offering better cornering and handling. All this impressive power doesn't take much - the Polo GTI's fuel consumption is only 5.9L/100km combined with CO2 emissions so low, it conforms to EU 5 standards.
