Among the many innovations in the new Touareg are the Bi-Xenon headlights that mimic natural daylight and follow your steering so you can always see what’s around the corner. Light distribution of the dipped beam is linked to speed; the faster the speed, the longer the beam (standard only on the V8). New LED running lights ensure you’re always visible to others, too.

This clever optional feature measures the light spread of the car coming towards you and adjusts the Bi-Xenons accordingly, so you don’t dazzle them and have the best possible view of the road at all times.

The new Touareg’s optional ‘Area View’ camera system which consists of four cameras positioned around the exterior of the vehicle means you get a clear aerial view of your vehicle. This makes for much easier parking in crowded city streets and enables you to see cross traffic at intersections, as well as the terrain directly in front of the vehicle.
