Powerful TDI diesel engines
Fuel-efficient TDI engines with the economical common-rail system are used in the new Golf. Available now the 103kW TDI engine is equipped with a diesel particulate filter in combination with a 6-speed DSG clutch gearbox. This translates to an economical combined fuel consumption of just 5.4l/100km and CO2 emissions of 142g per kilometre**. The 77kW TDI engine will be available late June.

Efficient TSI petrol engines
Fuel-efficient TSI engines provide optimum power delivery in the new Golf. There are two innovative engine choices either the 90kW which translates to an economical combined fuel consumption of just 5.9l/100km or the 118kW. They are both combined with the award winning 7-speed DSG dual-clutch gearbox which enables convenient gear-shifting with uninterrupted power and at the same time makes a significant contribution to reduced fuel consumption and emissions.

Safety
The new Golf includes active safety features to enhance your protection including Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Stabilisation Program (ESP), helping to ensure the vehicle goes where you steer it. With the addition of Electronic Differential Lock (EDL). For added peace of mind new Golf has seven airbags (including a driver’s knee airbag) and has achieved a 5 star EuroNCAP rating.
