Innovative
One of the innovative extras that really go well with
the new Scirocco is the multifunction leather steering
wheel with Tiptronic which comes standard on the 2.0T.
In combination with the DSG dual-clutch gearbox, you
can manually control the Scirocco’s fluid gear-changes
with the steering wheel’s shift paddles and
experience a true motor sport feeling. Relaxed open-road
cruising or rapid hairpins? Just as you like –
optional adaptive chassis control DCC adjusts the
suspension damping to perfectly suit the road and
the driving situation.

Exhilarating
The Scirocco is being launched with an impressive
engine range. One variant is the 1.4 TSI with twincharger
and a power output of 160 hp – especially when
partnered by the fabulous 7-speed DSG dual-clutch
gearbox. At the top of the range is the 200 hp 2.0
TSI, partnered with a 6-speed DSG gearbox, which gives
the new Scirocco the ideal blend of power and fuel
economy.
(Fuel consumption: 6.4 – 7.6 l/100 km; CO2
emissions: 148 - 179 g/km**)

Safe
With all this performance, safety rightly remains
a key aspect of the Scirocco. The electronic stabilisation
program ESP, including convenient brake assist, driver
steering recommendation, ABS, EDL and ASR, helps you
to detect critical driving situations before they
happen and maintain control. So you can feel safe
all-round, the new Scirocco is also equipped with
airbags for the driver and front passenger with front
passenger airbag deactivation and a curtain airbag
system for the front and rear passengers, plus side
airbags in the front.
